Family Histories

On our first family vacation after so many years, we heard stories on the drive back to Perth from Lancelin about how during the Japanese Occupation, my grandfather and his cousins broke into a warehouse belonging to the Imperial Japanese Army for sacks of rice to feed the starving family, about the grand aunt who perished in a bombing on Chineses New Year's Day which explains why the uncle we visit every Chinese New Year is always in tears remembering the loss of his mother.
