Beverly. No More Tears.
every moment, every turning point, every romantic encounter in life, has been marked with a distinct song. our frailties, dreamy encounters and setbacks are always reflected with a soundtrack- a tune which brings us back, a button that allows us to freeze time and playback all those precious moments, good or bad.
Sad. My mate Kenny is heading off to Hongkong to work in Nomura Bank, even before the long awaited housewarming party for his new house! But I wish him all the best in his new adventure and a part of me is a little envious that he gets the chance to go off on a huge adventure in the twilight of our youth.
I am drinking the lotus soup my aunt kept for me by the computer and Miu Miu hops over begging for a share, so I pour him some and he actually slurped up. Rather surprising how he refuses milk but takes to soup.
The soccer game this afternoon was rained out, so I was able to finish Infernal Affairs 2 (the prequel) and Infernal Affairs 3 (the sequel) to complete the trilogy. Immensely satisfying. As far as Hong Kong movies go, for me, the Infernal Affairs story arc is unsurpassed. Brilliant acting all round, Tony Leung, Andy Lau, Anthony Wong, even Kelly Chen, at the top of their game. An intelligent plot coupled with unexpected twists and poignant endings, I really felt for the characters, especially the tragic Yan (Tony Leung's character). The series has definitely left an impression on me.
"It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!!"
I was seized by a sense of urgency today as I was waiting around in the office for my next lesson. I must learn something new everyday. If I am stagnant, I am wasting time, wasting life. No time for complacency, no time for politics, no time to dither. I have got a dream to strive for.
