if the sky falls on my head while i am chasing butterflies, so be it
every moment, every turning point, every romantic encounter in life, has been marked with a distinct song. our frailties, dreamy encounters and setbacks are always reflected with a soundtrack- a tune which brings us back, a button that allows us to freeze time and playback all those precious moments, good or bad.

I am driving home after training, along Lornie Road. My legs jelly. A U2 CD is playing on the hi-fi. Bono begins to mumble. "Don't move, Don't talk out of time, Don't think, Don't worry, Everything's just fine " (Actually I didn't know what the hell he was singing, at that time) I sit back, and the music's just hypnotic. Numb. Before, I couldn't understand why it was a hit. Suddenly, as Bono breaks into a falsetto, it sounded terrific.
By the way, the guy in the picture is Bono.

Back to Jack Johnson.
My friend Gwen- He spent 3 months in the countryside in Missouri (that's in the U.S.A) On Independence Day, he saw the Black Eyed Peas live in concert; He went to New York, went up the Empire State Building; He got himself a mexican girlfriend, got laid, and now he's back, missing her, and also raving about Jack Johnson.
I have only heard Wasting Time and Sitting Waiting Wishing and I must say they were pretty good. There is a certain laidback quality in both songs; a sort of carefree, holiday nonchalance which makes the songs extremely listenable, but also rather forgettable. Well written lyrics, jazzy melodies. "The Lord knows this world is cruel / I ain't the Lord I'm just a fool / and in love with somebody don't make them love you / must I always be sitting, waiting on you / must I always be playing, playing your fool ....."
